This wedding editorial at The Lowlands in Saint Paul was a concept shoot collaboration between myself and several other local Twin Cities vendors. Nicole with The Bridekick spearheaded the planning and provided florals and decor, Ashley with The Coe Collective provided photography, Raleigh with Studio Yofi provided stationary and modeling for the day, and Rebel Diamonds Studios provided video.

This Lowlands Saint Paul wedding editorial is perfect for folks looking for a venue with an elevated, modern atmosphere. The effortlessly romantic vibes in this reimagined industrial building provides the perfect backdrop for unique, intimate celebrations.
Some of the vibes for the day were intentionality, brightness, and joy. I think our vendor team and band of models knocked it out of the part. Raleigh and husband Nick were an incredible model couple, who used their original wedding letters to set an authentic and romantic tone.
Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, The Lowlands is an ideal venue for modern couples looking for an intimate gathering space. This hidden gem sits on the corner of Wabasha and Plato, just across the river from downtown Saint Paul. It’s located 15 minutes from Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport, making it easily accessible for out of state guests.
The venue’s upper level lets in plenty of natural light, and showcases the building’s industrial past. A built-in bar fits in perfectly with the open floor plan. This level also houses two furnished getting ready spaces. These rooms are private access, and offer independent temperature control and dimmable lights for maximum comfort.
One of my favorite features of the Lowlands is the Ladyslipper Lounge in the lower level. This unique space offers comfortable lounge setting within a living terrarium. The lower level also houses another bar, plenty of open space for guests, and a kitchen for caterers.
The Lowlands also has two outdoor event spaces for guests to enjoy. The upper level’s open terrace provides a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of shade in the summer. The sunken patio attached to the lower level offers a more intimate feel, complete with romantic cafe lights.

There are 2 dedicated ADA parking spots directly in front of the building. The venue itself is wheelchair accessible with a ramp, and has an elevator that services the lower and upper level.
There are three parking lots associated with the venue, which provide about 200 parking spots total. A small parking lot with the ADA spaces is directly in front of the building via Wabasha Street There is a main guest lot accessible via Wabasha Street or Filmore Avenue, and an overflow lot across the street on Wabasha.
The Lowlands rental fee ranges from $3,000 – $11,000, and cost varies depending on the day of the week. Ceremony fees start at $1,000.
Rental fees include:
The Lowlands does require a beverage minimum in addition to their full bar service. They also charge a 20% service fee on hosted beverages.
The Lowland’s central Saint Paul location means there are plenty of places to stay nearby. Most hotels are just a short drive across the Mississippi, but if alternative lodging is more your speed there are several convenient options, as well.
